SIPP Code
SIPP stands for Standard Interline Passenger Procedures, and a SIPP code is the four-letter vehicle classification that the rental industry used before it was formalised under the ACRISS name. In practice the two terms describe the same code.
You will still see "SIPP code" on older systems, travel-agent tools and some booking platforms, while newer ones say "ACRISS." If you have learned one, you have learned the other — the four letters mean exactly the same things: category, body, transmission, fuel and air conditioning.
The takeaway is simply not to be confused if a quote labels the code differently. CDMR is CDMR whether the platform calls it a SIPP or an ACRISS code.
When comparing prices across different sites, matching the code is the most reliable way to be sure you are comparing the same class of car rather than being swayed by a model photo that may not be what you actually receive.
