Senior Driver Policy
Just as there is a minimum age, some companies set rules at the upper end. A senior driver policy may add a surcharge over a certain age, ask for a medical declaration, or in a few cases set a maximum age beyond which they will not rent at all.
It is far less common and less strict than the young driver side, and many agencies have no upper limit whatsoever. Where a policy does exist, the thresholds vary widely, so it is not something to assume either way.
In Morocco most rentals place no real obstacle in front of older drivers, but the detail is worth a quick check if you are well into your seventies, especially for larger vehicles.
If it might apply to you, ask the company directly before booking. A one-line confirmation avoids any awkward surprise at the counter and lets you compare suppliers if one has a stricter rule than another.
