Minimum Driving Age
The minimum driving age is the hard floor: below it, no amount of paying extra will get you a rental. It is set by the company and its insurer, and in Morocco it is commonly 21, though it can rise to 23 or 25 for larger, more powerful or luxury vehicles.
It is different from the young driver fee. The minimum age decides whether you can rent at all; the young driver surcharge is the extra you pay if you are above the minimum but still under about 25.
There can be a separate, higher minimum for specific categories. A small economy car might rent from 21, while a big SUV or a high-value model is held back to 25 because the risk and repair costs are greater.
If you are a younger driver, confirm both numbers before booking: the minimum age for the exact car you want, and the surcharge that applies on top. They vary between companies, so shopping around genuinely helps.
