Keyless Entry
Keyless entry lets you unlock and open the car without pressing a button or putting a key in a lock. As long as the key fob is on you — in a pocket or bag — the car senses it nearby and unlocks when you pull the handle or touch a sensor.
It is a small everyday convenience that adds up, especially with your hands full of luggage or shopping. Paired with push-button start, you can get in, start the car and drive away without ever taking the key out.
For a rental it is mostly just pleasant, but it pays to be mindful of the fob. Because the car works as long as the fob is near, it is easy to walk away with it still in your pocket, or to leave it inside — so keep track of where the key is.
A note of care: keyless systems are convenient but can be a target for theft if the fob signal is captured, so when parking overnight, keep the fob away from doors and windows of where you are staying.
