Contactless Rental
Contactless rental moves the paperwork off the counter and onto your phone. You upload your licence, complete identity checks and sign the agreement online before you arrive, so the physical hand-over is quick and low-touch — sometimes just collecting the keys, sometimes opening the car through an app.
It grew popular for convenience and speed. Skipping the queue and the form-filling means you reach the car faster, and for late or out-of-hours arrivals it can make a self-service pickup possible without staff on site.
The trade-off is that the responsibility for getting things right shifts to you. Because no one walks you through the contract in person, you should read the terms, do the pickup inspection carefully and photograph the car yourself, since there may be no agent to point out existing damage.
If you choose a contactless rental, complete every pre-check the company sends well before pickup, and treat the self-inspection seriously. Done properly it is the fastest, smoothest way to get on the road.
