IATA Airport Code
An IATA code is the three-letter shorthand that uniquely identifies an airport worldwide. You see it on your boarding pass and, for car rental, in the pickup location field — booking a car "at CMN" means collecting it at Casablanca Mohammed V Airport.
Knowing the codes for Morocco saves confusion when you book. The main ones are CMN (Casablanca), RAK (Marrakech), AGA (Agadir), TNG (Tangier), FEZ (Fès) and RBA (Rabat). Selecting the right code makes sure your car is waiting at the airport you actually fly into.
It matters because some cities have an airport branch and a separate downtown branch. Picking the airport code routes your booking to the terminal desk, where meeting your car straight off the plane is the whole convenience.
When you reserve, double-check the code against your flight’s arrival airport, especially in cities served by more than one. A mismatch can leave your car at the wrong location entirely.
