Compact Car
A compact car sits just above economy: still small and manageable, but with a bit more room, a slightly bigger engine and usually a more comfortable ride. It is the sweet spot many travellers land on when economy feels too tight.
The extra space shows mostly in the back seats and boot, making it more workable for three or four people on a day trip, or two people with a week’s luggage. The marginally stronger engine also copes better with motorway speeds and hills.
It keeps most of economy’s virtues — easy parking, modest fuel use, low rental cost — so the jump in price is usually small for a noticeable gain in everyday comfort.
If you are torn between the cheapest car and something roomier, compact is the practical middle ground for mixed driving around Moroccan cities and the open road between them.
