Tangier sits where two seas meet, at the narrowest point of the strait separating Africa from Europe — a genuine gateway city with two distinct ports: Tanger Ville, right against the old town, and Tanger Med, a container and ferry port roughly 40-45 km away near Ksar es-Seghir. Travelers arrive by sea or through Ibn Battouta Airport and then need a vehicle to continue inland — that's where the Duster comes in.
This Duster is part of Tangier's own fleet, parked in the city and ready — not driven up from Casablanca or Rabat. A local team based in Tangier handles the handover directly.
From Tangier, three distinct roads lead out: the A5 motorway south toward Rabat and Casablanca, the N16 coastal road east toward Tetouan (roughly 60 km), and the road toward Chefchaouen that climbs into the Rif foothills (roughly 112 km, about 2 hours). As a manual diesel SUV, the Duster is built for that elevation change as much as for the flat A5 stretch.
Five doors and 3-piece luggage capacity make it practical for a trip that combines coast and mountain in one loop — a morning at Malabata beach or Cape Spartel, an afternoon heading into the Rif toward Chefchaouen. The 2-day minimum is built around exactly that kind of loop, not a single in-town errand.
It's 330 MAD/day. Insurance is not included, and the minimum driver age is 21. There's no deposit in most cases; a deposit may be requested in a minority of cases, assessed per booking. Booking runs through WhatsApp with the Tangier team.
