The Clio is the car for the Saïdia road. From Oujda-Angad airport, 48.6 km on the N17 and 51 minutes; 97.2 km there and back, and many families do that run several times a week in summer. A diesel engine that stays frugal over that distance and an automatic gearbox that makes the drive back from the beach easy: that is exactly what the Clio brings.
Five doors, five seats and three suitcases that fit in the boot. Enough for a couple with a child and the beach bags, small enough to park near the beach and in the streets of central Oujda.
The rate works out at 249 MAD a day, unlimited mileage, with a two-day minimum. Insurance included.
Handover in the arrivals hall of Oujda-Angad airport, 16 km from the centre, outside the station, or at your address in any district of Oujda. Flight number, train or address on WhatsApp, confirmation in the conversation.
In summer the typical day starts in town and ends in Saïdia: 48.6 km on the N17 from the airport, 51 minutes, and the evening return in the same time. In automatic, nobody fights over the wheel.
Berkane is on a neighbouring road, 47.2 km on the N17 then the N2, 48 minutes: a detour for the family before or after the beach, without changing car or rate.
To go further, Nador at 125 km on the coastal N16 in 2 h 05, or Fès at 337 km on the A2 toll motorway in 3 h 27: the diesel Clio does it, and you can leave it there one way, fee set when you book.
Beach
Beach bags and towels go in the boot with the suitcases, not on the seats.
Day before
Book the beach day the evening before: send the departure time on WhatsApp and the Clio is ready.
Border
No road crosses the Algerian border: the post is closed, leave it out of the programme.
