Tyre & Windscreen Protection
Tyres and windscreens are the classic gap in rental cover. Standard CDW frequently lists them as excluded, which is awkward because they are exactly the parts that get damaged by everyday driving — a pothole, a stone flicked up by a truck, a kerbed alloy.
This add-on closes that gap. For a small daily fee it makes damage to tyres, wheels, glass and the windscreen the insurer’s problem rather than yours, with no excess to swallow for those specific items.
Moroccan roads make it more relevant than usual. Outside the main highways you will meet rougher surfaces, loose gravel and the odd deep pothole, and a cracked windscreen from a flying stone is a genuinely common claim.
If you are sticking to smooth city streets it is easy to skip. If your plan involves mountain passes, desert approaches or long rural drives, it is one of the more sensible small extras to take.
