Parking Sensors
Parking sensors are small detectors in the bumpers that measure how close you are to an obstacle as you park, warning you with beeps that get faster as you get nearer and turn into a continuous tone when you are very close.
They take the guesswork out of tight manoeuvres. Squeezing into a small bay, reversing toward a wall, or judging the gap to the car behind all become easier when the car is telling you the distance you cannot see.
They pair well with a reversing camera: the camera shows you what is there, the sensors tell you how close it is, especially for low obstacles or things just out of the camera’s view. Front sensors do the same job nose-first in tight spots.
On crowded Moroccan city streets and small car parks they are genuinely helpful on an unfamiliar car. Trust them, but still glance around — they cover the bumpers, not every angle, and very low or thin obstacles can sometimes slip below their notice.
