Bluetooth
Bluetooth is the short-range wireless link that pairs your phone with the car. Once connected, you can make and take calls hands-free through the car’s speakers and microphone, and stream music or podcasts from your phone without any cable.
For a renter it is one of the most useful everyday features. Hands-free calling keeps you legal and safer, since handling a phone while driving is both dangerous and an offence, and being able to play your own audio makes long drives far more pleasant.
Pairing is quick: in the car’s settings or audio menu, choose to add a device, then confirm the code on your phone. Once done, the car usually remembers your phone and reconnects automatically each time you get in.
A courtesy worth knowing: rentals pass through many hands, so your phone may not be the only one previously paired. When you return the car, it is worth deleting your phone from its Bluetooth list to remove your contacts and call history from the system.
